During my near month long walk about along the shores of the Outer Banks, I found myself holed up near ground zero at the Frisco camground next to Billy Mitchell airport as the area got fully pummeled by the shrieking winds and torrential rains of Invest 95 parked just offshore south of Cape Hatteras. The weather was far from perfect but the system itself was sitting in the perfect spot to create some not often seen – or filmed – surf in a relatively new surf zone somewhere between the point and Hatteras Village. xxxxxx
