For East Coasters, December is all about taking stock of the last 12 surf-centric months while looking ahead to the waterborne promise of the coming New Year. But with Eastern Surf Magazine’s esteemed ESeMMY Awards entering their second decade of existence, we figured it was time to give this old standby a new facelift. And what better way to do that than by doling out these year-end honors one at a time over the next four weeks, celebrating our biggest movers and shakers while building a little healthy suspense along the way?
