With my plane ticket home from the ECSC in Virginia Beach delayed by a day due to Tropical Storm Isaac, I took advantage and drove to the Outer Banks to meet up with hot talent like Phillip Watters, Gabe Kling, Blake Jones, Oliver Kurtz, Michael Dunphy, and Nathaniel Curran. Since this was my first trip to the Outer Banks, I was excited not only to shoot photos but also to see this iconic East Coast location. With the Bud Light Lime and Camp Hobgood taking place the following week, last Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday saw the best waves from Isaac on the East Coast down in Dare County. And where the waves go, the surfers go, and photographers like me were happy to follow.
