If you’ve seen our March 2010 issue (Vol.19, #143),
you know it’s packed to the gills with stunning imagery from this winter’s glut
of El Niño-fueled tropical swell (if you haven’t seen it yet, get yo’self to
your local surf shop before copies are gone, or click here now). Whether in Hawaii, Mexico, the Caribbean, or
hundreds of points in between, East Coast surfers from all walks of life
stepped it up this winter, bagging Banzai Pipeline bombs, towering Todos Santos
peaks, and crystalline Puerto Rican perfection. Like all good photo features,
though, there’s only so much page space for the glut of A+ images we received
this winter from longtime ESM contributors,
fresh photographic faces, and seasoned international lensmen — making an
extra Exotic Escapes Web bonus a true no-brainer.
After all, we couldn’t hide this winter’s epic
international goods from you for too long. It just wouldn’t be proper. Blue
water, sparkly skies, kegging barrels, warm water… that kind of stuff never
gets old, right?
So without further ado…
