TEASIN’ THE GUN SHOW More Greatest Hits From The East Coast’s
Blitzkrieg North Shore Showing This Winter By
Nick McGregor
If you
haven’t picked up a copy of ESM’s hot-off-the-press March 2011 issue (Vol. 20, #151) at your local surf shop, you’re missing out on our banging 2010-11 North Shore winter
feature — what Editor At Large Matt Pruett called “the most triumphant East
Coast rush in 15 years.” Don’t worry, though — we’re here to motivate you
with a teaser of the Right Coast’s impressive winter performance along the
Seven Mile Miracle. But remember, this is only a taste of the remarkable
big-wave achievements earned the hard way by our Right Coast squad. So get out
of the house, enjoy some of this nice spring weather, and get your hands on our
new issue for the full story.
Unfortunately, right as we finished this feature, news arrived that underground Hawaiian charger Sion Milosky had passed away while surfing Maverick's. From North Carolina's Rob Brown: "We learned of Sion's death yesterday. What a sad day in surfing. That guy gave me along with others so much inspiration in big wave surfing. He may have been Hawaiian but damn if he wasn't an underground surfer like us East Coasters."
For
those of you stuck away from the coast or out of ESM’s distribution reach, you can also peep “The Gun Show” and
other March
2011 issue features in full at www.easternsurf.com/ISSUES/ESM_ISSUE_151/index.html
