20 YEARS, FROM THE INSIDE PART 2 OF 2 ESM Celebrates 20-Year Anniversary With A Couple Thousand Of Our Closest Friends At Surf Expo By Nick McGregor
This year’s
Surf Expo, held January 6th-8th at the Orange County Convention Center in
Orlando, FL, held special meaning for us here at Eastern Surf Magazine. Not only did we finish our commemorative
Volume 20, Issue #150 just in time for the semi-annual gathering of the surfing
tribe, but the amazingly gracious folks at Surf Expo also hooked us up big time
with quite possibly the most amazing special exhibit we’ve ever seen (being a
little biased of course).
Of course,
the best part was we got to share our 20-year milestone, 20-year mag, and
20-year exhibit with the most important people in the ESM orbit — the phenomenal advertisers who’ve helped us
become the best damn East Coast publication on the planet; the core surf shops
who bring the magazinedirect to
readers’ hands free of charge; the old salts and young bucks alike who we’ve
trained our editorial focus on over the last 20 years; the photographers and
videographers who provide us with the imagery that lets our readers live the
dream; the shapers, wetsuit manufacturers, and hardgoods kingpins who make that
dream possible in the first place; and every single fan, contributor, and
family member in between.
Suffice to
say that ESM more than felt the love
at this year’s Surf Expo, so we’re more than happy to return the love back to
all of you…
