| Says Matt Keenan: "In 1994, I won the Men's, coming from behind with one loss in the final. I had to beat (defending champion Chad Hopkins) twice, and I just knew I had it after my last ride. I remember being on the beach looking up at the lighthouse and the groin right there and just being so stoked. I had been so close five years in a row and finally won it my last year trying.
