WHAT: NSSA Northeast Conference Contest

WHERE: States Avenue, Atlantic City, NJ
WHY: For trophies, prizes, and valuable
NSSA points towards the NSSA East Coast Championships, and eventually the NSSA
National Championships. In the days leading up to the contest, Tropical Storm
Danny skirted the Northeast coast, dumping buckets of rain but also delivering
a follow-up punch of peaky chest to head-high barrels after Hurricane Bill
meandered through town the week before. By Sunday, when the NSSA Northeast
Conference got busy at States Avenue in Atlantic City, NJ, the sunshine had
returned, with temperatures in the mid 70s giving the Garden State one last
gasp of summer. Big ups to NSSA Northeast Conference sponsors 7th Street Street
Surf Shop, Spy Optics, and Heritage Surf & Sport, along with longtime
Conference Director Joe Keenan.
